Drafts: bounces waiting to be filed
New bounces, dropped files and uploads wait privately in Drafts until you confirm which song they belong to.
Available on Artist · Producer · Studio · Label
This guide is for producers and artists who bounce a lot. Drafts is a private inbox for audio that hasn't been filed yet. Only you and your workspace's admins can see a draft until you confirm where it goes. Nobody on the team is notified until then.
Drafts arrive from three places: bounces from folders the desktop app watches, files dropped on the desktop app, and Upload to Drafts in the app.
Upload to Drafts
- Open Drafts.
- Choose Upload to Drafts, pick the Workspace, then Choose files.
- VYNLT accepts WAV, AIFF, FLAC, ALAC, MP3, AAC, M4A (including Voice Memos), OGG, Opus, WebM and CAF.
Confirm a draft
- Open Drafts and play the draft to check it.
- VYNLT suggests a song from the file name. If it's right, choose the main button, for example Confirm as current mix → Night Drive.
- If it isn't, choose Change… and pick the Project and Song, or New song…. Under File as, choose whether it is a mix, a master, a stem or a song file.
- Confirm. A mix becomes the song's CURRENT version and you can choose Open A/B to compare it with the previous one, or Send for feedback to share it.
Stems from the same bounce are grouped as a set. Confirm the whole set once every stem has uploaded.
Other actions
- Move… sends a draft to another workspace.
- Remove moves it to the Trash. Find it again under Drafts → Trash and choose Restore.
- Drafts you never confirm are kept for 90 days, with reminders on day 7 and day 80, then move to the Trash.
Common problems
- "Checking the upload…" VYNLT checks every file after it arrives. It usually takes a few seconds.
- "VYNLT couldn't tell which song this is." Choose Change… and pick the song yourself.
- "Upload failed". Choose Retry, or Upload again and pick the file.
- A banner says Capture is paused for maintenance. Your bounces wait safely on your computer and upload when it's back. Nothing is lost.
- Your workspace is full. Choose Free up space to see what takes up room.
