Stem separation
Stems from the mix, marked as generated.
Split any version into 4 stems (vocals, drums, bass, other) or 6 (adding guitar and piano). The result is labelled GENERATED, keeps a link to the exact version and the model that made it, and never replaces the studio stems.

Original studio stems stay where they are. Generated stems sit beside them, marked, with the version and model they came from.

How it works
- 01Open a version you’re allowed to add files to and choose Separate stems.
- 02Pick 4 or 6 stems. The original mix is never changed.
- 03Generated stems appear next to any studio stems, marked GENERATED, with where they came from.
- GENERATED
Never mistaken for the multitrack
Each stem says it was machine-separated, which version it came from and which model made it.
- YOUR CHOICE OF ENGINE
Your server, or an outside service only if you allow it
The server can run separation itself. Sending a mix to an outside service needs your organization to allow outside processing.
- ORIGINAL
The mix stays the mix
Separation reads the original and writes new files. Nothing you uploaded is altered or replaced.
Questions
Are generated stems as good as the session stems?
No. They are useful for rough edits, previews, karaoke-style references and A&R listening. For delivery, use the stems printed from the session; the label tells you which is which.
Can someone separate an Official Master?
Only people with master download rights, since the stems are the master’s audio.
One home for every song.
