For engineers
The right files. The right notes. The right delivery.
References, stems and specs arrive with the song. Notes land on the exact version at the exact second, and delivery is the approved master with its checksum.
Before
- “the vocal feels off?”
- notes against the wrong mix
- stems at 44.1 for a 48k session
- “is this the one they approved?”
With VYNLT
- 01:43 · lead vocal · up 1 dB
- Notes attached to Mix 19, forever
- Sample rate, bit depth, LUFS, true peak per version
- APPROVED, with who and the checksum
Feedback
Notes that point at a moment.
Scrub to a moment, leave a note, resolve it when the next mix fixes it.
- 01:43
Amira on Mix 19
Bring the lead vocal up here.
- 02:17
Karim on Mix 19
Love this transition.
- SPECS
Measured on upload
Duration, sample rate, bit depth, channels, integrated loudness and true peak for every version.
- REFERENCES
Refs beside the mix
Keep reference tracks and session notes as files on the song, visible to the people who need them.
- REVISIONS
Nothing overwritten
Each revision is its own numbered version with notes on what changed.
- STEMS
Delivered as a set
Typed stems per song, downloadable together as one ZIP.
- DELIVERY
The exact file
Approvals record the SHA-256 of what was approved, so what you deliver can be checked against it.
- ACCESS
Editor, not owner
Engineers get upload, download and edit on the projects they work on, and nothing else.
Questions
Can I download original WAVs?
Yes, at original quality, with the Editor role or above. Streams are compressed; downloads are the file that was uploaded, byte for byte.
How is loudness measured?
Integrated loudness (EBU R128, LUFS) and true peak are measured for every version when it’s processed. Originals are never modified.
Can I see what changed between two versions?
Each version carries notes from whoever uploaded it, and A/B lets you compare any two at the same timestamp with level matching.
