Trash and recovery
Deleted projects, songs, versions and files wait in the Trash before they're removed for good. Here's how to get them back.

This guide is for anyone who deletes something by mistake. In VYNLT, Move to Trash… doesn't delete straight away.
Restore something
- Open Trash.
- Find the project, song, version or file. Each one shows how many days are left.
- Choose Restore. It goes back where it was.
How long things stay
Items stay in the Trash for 30 days unless your organization chose a different period. After that they are removed for good. Nothing in the Trash plays, syncs or opens from a link while it's there.
Drafts you remove go to a separate list: open Drafts and choose Trash.
Common problems
- It isn't in the Trash. You may not have permission to see it, or its time ran out. If you back up to your own storage, the file may still be in your backup. See Backups.
- I can't move something to the Trash. Deleting needs a higher role. Ask a manager or admin.
