Stems, lyrics, credits and metadata
Keep stems, lyrics, credits with splits, ISRCs and release details with each song, and export them when it's time to deliver.
Available on Artist · Producer · Studio · Label
This guide is for producers, engineers, managers and labels who prepare songs for release. Each song has tabs for its stems, lyrics, credits and metadata. Some tabs only show in the Studio and Label views, or after you choose More… in the tab bar.
Stems
- Open the song and choose the Stems tab.
- Choose Upload stems and pick the files: vocals, drums, instrumentals, TV mixes, clean or explicit versions.
- Play any stem on its own, or choose Open mixer to hear them together.
- Choose Download all to get them as one ZIP, if your role allows downloads.
Lyrics
- Choose the Lyrics tab and Edit.
- Paste or type the lyrics and set the language.
- Save. Every change is kept: choose History to see earlier versions.
- Download them as TXT or, with line timings, LRC.
Credits and splits
- Choose the Credits tab and Add credit.
- Pick the person, their Role and, for writers, their Split %. Writer splits should total 100%.
- Save. With writers and splits in place, choose Split sheet to make a split sheet to share and sign.
Names and contact details come from Roster & contacts, so you only enter them once.
Metadata
- Choose the Metadata tab.
- Fill in the release details, such as ISRC, release date and Explicit, and any Custom fields your organization uses.
- Choose Save metadata.
Export
- Track JSON on the Metadata tab downloads this song's details.
- Project CSV, or Export metadata (CSV) in the project's More (⋯) menu, downloads every song in the project.
- Stem and metadata exports depend on your plan.
Common problems
- I can't see the Stems, Credits or Metadata tab. Switch to the Studio or Label view, or choose More… at the end of the tabs.
- "Writer splits must total 100%". Check each writer's share.
- "Lyrics changed while you were editing". Someone else saved first. Copy your text, reload and add your changes again.
