Invite collaborators to a project
Bring a producer, engineer, songwriter or manager into one project with the role they need, without a team plan.

This guide is for artists and producers who work with other people on a record. A collaborator joins one project, not your whole workspace. They need a VYNLT account (a free one is fine) with the email you invite.
Invite someone
- Open the project, choose More (⋯) and then Collaborators.
- Type their address into Invite by email.
- Choose their Role (see below). If asked, choose how they join under Joins as…, such as Artist or Producer.
- Choose Invite. They get an email and accept it (see Get started).
Roles
- Viewer: listen only.
- Commenter: listen and comment.
- Uploader: add versions and files.
- Editor: edit, download and share privately.
- Manager: approve, invite, share externally.
- Admin: everything except ownership.
- Owner: full control.
You can only give a role up to your own. Organizations can also make custom roles (see Organizations, workspaces and roles).
Change or remove access
In the same Collaborators window, change someone's Role, or choose Remove. Invitations that haven't been accepted are listed under Pending invitations: choose Revoke to cancel one.
Common problems
- They didn't get the email. Ask them to check their spam folder, then invite them again if needed.
- "The invitation won't accept". It only works for the address it was sent to. Invite the address they actually use.
- "Collaborators" isn't in the menu. You need the Manager role or higher, and your plan must include project collaborators.
